MGR Online Hackathon
With an objective to receive innovative ideas for the next call for NewGen IEDC 3rd batch, we Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute along with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam CoE in Innovation and Entrepreneurship organized an Online Hackathon Program in the time of Covid19 Pandemic.
In total of 21 Teams have submitted 29 different Ideas 103 students have participated in the hackathon from different disciplines. Faculty of Physiotherapy, Bachelor of Pharmacy, B.Sc. Computer Science and B.Tech.
Hackathon was started with 3 workshops for the started with Building a Chatbot, Selection of sensors and components for the Project PoC and App Building. And Ideation stage students submitted their ideas in the form of PPT with voice-over video.
We have a quality of mentor and jury panel to evaluate the ideas submitted by the student’s team and encourage them to rectify small mistakes in their ideas. Teams will pitch in front of Panel and winning team will get the opportunity to get Funding of 2laks of Grant from Dr. M.G.R. DST NewGen IEDC. So, they can build a Prototype and move into Commercialization.
